I started my styling and design career in the mid 80’s… but that was certainly not when it all began.

At the tender age of 5, I was lucky enough to have as my first teacher a renowned artist… dedicated to teaching the importance of texture, color and design, as well as the ABC’s.

At the age of 8, I won a statewide artists award for a woven art piece I made using everything from fabric to twigs that I found during my after school adventures on my walks home.

With this recognition and little encouragement I began delving into all aspects of design… fascinated by fabrics and their immense world of creative possibilities, I taught myself how to construct and sew garments.

At some point dance became a part of my life and I realized what a big part movement played in the design world… I was suddenly keenly aware of what a particular fabric would do with the unique bone structure and body movement of each individual.

I was off and running… filling myself with any and all information I could get my hands on… continuing through the years to study art and design.

For the most part I am self -taught.

After a few brief forays into the structured world of design school I quickly realized I would rather be in the world being inspired, than in a classroom doing assignments.

I take my inspiration from the world and people around me… gleaning richness from relationships and my frequent travels to Europe…specifically Paris… where I feed my soul as well as keep my finger on the pulse of what is forward in the fashion world.

Working on everything from print ads to commercials to short films to private design I have been at it for over 20 years now.

I’ve traveled all over the world and been blessed to have learned and worked with some of the most talented and creative people in the business.

I hope to for many years to come.
